The Splash Park!

Tanganyika’s most extensive addition ever is a fully-customized animal paradise with 5,000 square feet of wet wonderful and 3,000 square feet of shade!

We filled it with awesome aquatic features the kids will love such as tipping buckets, a play structure with water cannons, waterfalls, interactive animal characters, and the world’s largest giraffe fountain.

Bring the whole family to experience our one-acre jungle gym and stay for Tanganyika Falls splash park.

For the kids, can you count all 17-hand crafted penguins in the kid’s cave with waterfalls?

For the adults, we have 4 very, very cold draft beer selections to take the edge off the Kansas summer heat at the Thirsty Sloth. Restrooms and changing stations are nearby with two new, modern restrooms plus three family-friendly changing rooms.

Tanganyika Wildlife Park is fun at any age.

Just think, you could be feeding the giraffes in the morning and then sitting under the water-spewing giraffe in the afternoon.

The 500 sq ft fully furnished rental spaces are larger than a typical cabana and have been designed to look like an African bungalow. They are perfect for birthdays, corporate events, small gatherings, or even for multiple families for a day outing. The semi-private Cabanalows can accommodate up to 25 guests and will allow families to enjoy the splash park in style.

Each Cabanalow is uniquely designed and has plenty of amenities:

  • Custom climate control options
  • 55″ smart TV
  • Private wait staff
  • Mini-fridge and sink
  • Secure storage
  • Exclusive entrance to the splash park

Don’t fret about finding an open table, avoid standing in line at the canteen or bar, and just spend your time relaxing while the food/drinks come to you and the kids play safely nearby.

The Cabanalows will be available in early summer.  We already have a waiting list due to the demand for birthday parties, so guests can get on a reservation list to be contacted as soon as there is availability.

Since you’ve likely got loads of questions about our Brand New Splash Park, we’ve put together a pretty nice FAQ about the place. Hopefully have all your questions answered now, so you can get in a car, get down here, and join in on the fun!

Q: Will I have access to Tanganyika Falls with my park admission during regular park hours?

A: Absolutely! That is part of the fun. With the addition of our new splash park, a visit to Tanganyika is a parent’s dream and a mini vacation for kids. Experience an exotic animal adventure and then cool down in a tropical resort-like splash park.

Q: Do I need to make reservations for Tanganyika Falls during regular park hours?

A: No. However, both season pass holders and non-season pass holders only need to make reservations for admission to the park. You can make reservations by visiting the following link.

-Regular hours park and splash park admission: www.twpark.com – then scroll down to admission.

Q: What is the cost of admission to Tanganyika Falls?

A: Access to Tanganyika Falls is included in your Park admission during normal operating hours.

Q: Can I access Tanganyika Falls without purchasing admission to Tanganyika?

A: Not at this time.  We have considered allowing the public to access the splash park after the Park closes for a reduced fee. We’ll keep you updated.

Q: Will towels be available for purchase or rent?

A: We do have towels available for a very affordable price in the Tanganyika Falls gift shop. Otherwise, please bring your own towel.

Q: Are swimsuits required to use the splash park?

A: Swimsuits are not required. However, any clothing or swimsuits with rivets, buckles, or exposed metal is not permitted on the slides.

Swimwear and attire must be family appropriate and are subject to staff approval. Thongs, speedos, etc., are not permitted.

Swimwear for children will be available in the Tanganyika Falls gift shop.

Q: Are there restrooms and/or changing rooms for my kids and I to use to change into and out of swimsuits?

A: Yes! The changing rooms are furnished with showers, a restroom, baby changing counter and a wet area so you can keep those kids you have already changed separate from the ones that haven’t.

Q: Is Tanganyika Falls open every day? What is the last day it will be open for this season?

A: It will be open daily. Typically, Tanganyika Falls would close Labor Day weekend, but we plan to keep it open as long as the weather holds out. Check back for an official date.
