Described by visitors as "incredible", "amazing", and "indescribable", this one-of-a-kind experience is the only place in the United States where you can get in the water and swim with penguins.
While in the pool with our feathered friends, you’ll get to know them as they will start to show their personalities very quickly! They will swim around you, play with toys, and sometimes even float in your hands. Soak in all the fun and the knowledge as you’ll be accompanied by a penguin keeper who can answer all your questions and give you some fantastic facts and insights about each penguin!
But wait, that’s not all! As if this day isn’t unforgettable enough, we’ll be taking photos of you and the penguins during your experience and even capture posed photos on land with you and all your new friends.
We visited because I am a penguin fanatic and the opportunity to swim with the penguins was on my bucket list. We had adults ages 19-90 and all had a great time. It was fun to see animals but also to be able to interact with them. The staff was friendly and very informative.

The biggest threats to African penguins are competition with humans over fish and degradation of their nesting sites. Choosing sustainably farmed seafood is one great way to help African penguins. There are numerous conservation organizations who are now building artificial nests for penguins that you can support. Our favorite is the Dyer Island Trust in South Africa!
