Tanganyika’s Pumpkins at the Park Wichita Event

Pumpkins at the Park is the largest Halloween Wichita event. The event is quickly approaching as it kicks off on September 30, 2023, with a special 50% off. 

The best part of all is that the event doesn’t just take place on one day. It takes place on not 1, not 2, not, 3, not 4, but 5 days priced at only $22 per person over the age of 3. Tickets for kids two and under are only $10.

This spooky and exciting Wichita event takes place every Saturday of October with a special Adults Only Night on October 20, 2023, priced at $35 per person. This specific night will feature a load of different and exciting attractions including a DJ, magician, and fire performers just to name a few.

So, what makes Pumpkins at the Park the biggest Halloween event in Wichita exactly? Oh man, where do we even start. 

You’ll get to experience all your favorite epic features from previous years, including an escape room, creepy crawlers, a hayride, the Forbidden Forest, stage shows, a cage maze, laser tag, crafts, candy stations, 3 adult bars, games, and so much more.

One of our Wichita Kansas upcoming events is Action for Cheetahs: An Evening with a Cheetah Expert. This event is taking place on September 23, 2023. At this event in Wichita KS, we honor the fastest land animal in the world.

You’ll uncover incredible facts and you’ll get to engage with animal expert Mary Wykstra from Action for Cheetahs Kenya. 

Our goal for the event is to raise and donate $1,500 to Action for Cheetahs in Kenya. With a donation to Action for Cheetahs on top of your ticket price, we offer free admission and 5 feedings at the park.

What other Wichita events do we have to offer?

Another popular event we host is known as The Twilight Tour. 

The Twilight Tour is a luxurious Wichita event for people 21 and over. At the event guests interact with not just our different species of animals but also get to eat food from local restaurants! Guests enjoy the privilege of seeing how we operate and they get to see some behind the scenes. 

There is a lot to do and experience at this event animal feedings, live painting demos, animal ambassadors, and more unique experiences.

Our 2023 event has already passed but we’ll be sure to come back next year even bigger and better.

Our goal for 2023 was to raise $100,000 and we beat this goal by raising over $120,000.

All revenue was used to help us on our mission. Our mission is to support exotic and endangered animal preservation and education efforts locally. 

There are a lot of events Tanganyika Wildlife Parks hosts throughout the year. Just recently we hosted Teacher’s Night Out. This event gave local teachers and educators the chance to see how Tanganyika could assist in their teachings. 

We host monthly events/experiences as well. During these experiences, you’ll be able to interact with animals that are not accessible to the general public. You may also partake in unique experiences and encounters with the animals that are open to the general public.

  • Latin Dance Party with Tumbao: This event is hosted at Brickyard’s amazing outdoor venue on September 15, 2023. The ICT salsa band known as Tumbao will be performing at the venue. This is the perfect way to kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with drink specials, cocktails, and Latin music.
  • Drone Light Show: This event takes place at the Exploration Place on September 21, 2023 – September 23, 2023, and will feature a total of 300 synchronized drones. This is over 100 more drones than in 2022. This year’s event will feature new drone formations, projections, a concert with 2,000 candles, floating Chinese lanterns, and more.
  • Twilight Tunes on the Terrace: This Wichita Kansas upcoming event is hosted at Botanica on September 26, 2023. Twilight Tunes on the Terrace will feature horticulture, live music, and happy hour. This is the perfect event to wind down and relax for the whole family.
  • Of Virtue Concert: The band known as Of Virtue will be performing at TempleLive here in Wichita on September 27, 2023. They are an up-and-coming band comprised of Lansing locals. Immerse yourself in the world of Hard Rock music.
  • Wichita Brick Convention: This event will be taking place at Century 2 on September 30 and October 1, 2023. The Wichita Brick Convention offers fun, creative, and hands-on experiences with everything LEGO. This event is perfect for kids of all ages and builders of all skill types. A portion of the earnings will also be donated to Creations for Charity. 
  • Jack-o-lantern Spectacular: Another amazing event happening at Botanica on October 5, 6, 7, 13, and 14 2023. With Halloween right around the corner, this event will feature over 1,000 pumpkins which have been carved out by volunteer groups in the Wichita area. Arial acrobatics, live music, food trucks, a petting zoo, carousel rides, and so much more will also be available for the entire family to enjoy.
  • Art on the Trail: This incredible 21-and-over event allows guests to engage their senses and the connection to nature. You will walk through the paved trail while sipping on wine, listening to music, and appreciating the art created by local artists! The event will take place on October 14, 2023, at the Great Plains Nature Center. 
  • Open Mic Comedy Night: They say laughter is the best medicine right? Mulligans Pub will be hosting an open mic comedy night. That means anyone can take the stage and show off their skills. Enjoy a drink while you laugh the night away with friends and family. The event takes place every third Wednesday of every month. You can’t miss this Wichita Kansas upcoming event.
  • Dinosaurs After Dark: Field Station Dinosaurs bringing back the Dinosaurs After Dark event on October 21, and 22 of 2023. Explore the the dark and spooky Field Station trails which feature spectral colors and supernatural experiences.
  • AEW Collision: Are you a professional wrestling fan? Well, do we have good news for you. Popular professional wrestling company AEW will be making its Wichita debut on November 4, 2023. They will be performing at our very own Intrust Bank Arena.

Sedgwick County Zoo just recently hosted its Zoobilee event which is similar to our Twilight Tour event that we mentioned earlier.
